don't fix what isn't broken

With Drift, your heel stays level with your forefoot, just as it does without a shoe. The outcome?

Weight distributes evenly, and the whole foot lands together as you take a step. Your foot already works like that, now your shoe obliges as well.

soft doesn't spell comfort

Drift is not a soft shoe, on purpose. It is built to be as firm as naturally packed soil—compresses under load, but doesn't collapse.

The shoe pushes back with enough support, and it doesn't feel like moving on sand. Stable, agile and responsive.

Three grooves that sit right where your foot bends, and the toe box runs 8-11 mm wider than average at the widest point.

It took us over 8 months of real-world use feedback from 30 people to tune Drift into what it is. All of this for one experience—to make it feel like an extension of your foot.

The zero heel height, the firm base, the grooves that bend easy, and the room inside, all combine to deliver what only a Watlair can.

Your regular size. Drift fits true to size, and if you need to change, we'll get the replacement to you at no additional cost.

Certainly. Drift is wider than the average shoe, and the shape fits wider feet well. Narrower feet don't get left out either—you get ample wiggle room and a snug midfoot fit to prevent slipping.

Better not. Not because you can’t run in them, but because Drift wasn’t designed for it—the materials, weight, and firmness aren’t tuned for running. No limits on everyday use though.

Drift is designed to work for the foot. It holds your arches, and is flat and firm, which doesn't place your feet in an unnatural position. People with flat feet would find the wearing experience better.

That said, Drift doesn't correct flat feet. No footwear can. When it comes to not disturbing the feet, you're good with these.

Drift is made across two locations. We manufacture the midsole and outsole in Vietnam, and hand-craft the upper and final assembly in Tamil Nadu.
