Meet WLA-1

The midsole that powers our scientific design. Our proprietary composition built over 15 months of trials, it defines how a Watlair works.

Because for us, making our own sole isn't a branding move. It's a mandate.

 

Zero. Just this one's actually good.

  • Geometry that aligns you.

    Observe yourself standing without shoes. You'll notice — your heels are on the floor, so are your toes, at the same level. Now that's normal. Go check the 'heel-drop' of the last pair you wore. Because WLA-1 has none.
  • Stand easy, right, and with might.

    It starts at the base. Once your heels are where they belong, your ankles follow. Then your knees. And even your hips find their spot. Your present shoes force your legs to adjust to what's not normal. You're a good judge, WLA-1 rests its case!
  • Movement. Minus the artificial.

    Watch yourself without shoes one more time, as you walk. You land on the whole foot and push off with the toes. No 'heel strikes first, rest rolls after' motion. Not your fault — blame it on the slope your shoes have. We don't wish WLA-1 worked like that.

Think soft's comfortable? Think again.

  • You can't carry natural ground.

    So we made one for you. WLA-1 mimics the firmness of naturally packed soil — soft enough to be pinched by fingers, firm enough to hold you without sinking. You've had enough of your rubbers and EVAs.
  • If standing were a sport, this would be illegal.

    Yeah, we know we've used that before. But you can't get rid of facts! When you stand on it, WLA-1 provides ample reaction support — firm under load, but never harsh. You remain stable. And the aches of stillness, gone!
  • Stay in the know, as you go.

    You won't thump your foot on marble the same way you would on sand — you already know what soft shoes are taking away from you. WLA-1 brings back to you the ground feel, lets you take charge of your step. You've got sense, why not use it!

Why should you work for the shoe?

  • Thinner bends easier. Simple.

    And that's why we reduced the thickness of WLA-1, from the point you bend, by 7 mm. The grooves you see are a result of that. Or name it whatever you want!
  • 25% less muscle fatigue. Just stats.

    That's right. When you walk over a distance of 6 km, WLA-1 saves you up to 25% of the total energy spent by muscles that bend your foot (compared to the average lifestyle shoe). Do we need to tell more?
There's only one shoe that gives you WLA-1. Come on!
